Colorado Mission Trip 2017

Destination – Ft. Collins, Colorado

Worksite: Big Elk Meadows & Loveland , CO

Individual Gear:

Expect temps between 25 & 50 F- this is their snowy season with small to moderate accumulations at night melting by noon each day. Layers and extra pairs of warm clothing might be the difference between a great and a “less than” great experience especially if you get wet. It is unlikely you will be able to be on a work site with less than sweatshirts and under-armor. Coveralls may be the envy of the trip. On Friday morning, a part of our group will be able to go snow-shoeing … again, “layers” is the name of the game.

• Waterproof boots (Tall if possible) – may be working in a creek
• Stocking Cap
• Work Gloves (Preferably waterproof and insulated)
• Carry-on Bag
• Soft duffle bag vs. hard luggage
• Sleeping Bag/ small pillow
• Sleeping bag/mat / cot / air mattress
• Work clothes – sturdy, modest, & without rips (talk to Tom if this is a problem)
• Bible and notebook – A good Study Bible would be helpful
• swimsuit- [no bikinis or speedos] 🙂
• waterproof laundry bag or garbage bag for dirty clothes
• towel (marked with you name or initials)
• Water bottle

PLEASE! We have many people, so do not pack so much that there will be no room left for others:) This does not mean to pack so little that you will freeze! Soft luggage is preferable to hard (suitecases).
